Care Worker of the Month – May 2026

It’s the last Friday of the month and the sun is shining - the perfect moment to celebrate!

Today, we’re delighted to congratulate our inspirational Care Worker of the Month for May – Jessica Cooper.

Jessica was nominated by Registered Manager, Kim Northwood at The Gables Rest Home in Kidderminster.

"Jessica Cooper is my nomination. Her professionalism, hard working and motivational skills sets her apart from others in her field. She is dedicated in making a difference to the residents she looks after.

Her job role is Senior Activity Coordinator, she goes above and beyond in everything she does. She does group activities and one to one activities, giving residents the chance to explore, develop and feel valued.

Everyone loves her and calls her affectionately "The tea lady".

She unites those with dementia into the community treating everyone with respect and dignity. She provides days out, in house entertainers, visits from Penguins to llamas. Therapy dogs, crafts, planting, and cooking.

When I met her, I knew instantly I needed to find her a job, and I have never regretted one single day. She is the warmth and sunshine of our home and truly deserves recognition.

Recently she had some interactive entertainment and ended up being part of the act."
