Care Worker of the Month – May 2025

It is the last Friday of the month and the sun is shining! On this beautiful day we would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to our inspirational Care Worker of the Month award winner for May – Vanessa Wellburn!

Vanessa was nominated by her manager, Victoria Karunwi at Just Homes in Surrey.

"Vanessa Wellburn is my nomination. Vanessa has worked at Just Homes for two years. She shows real kindness empathy and patience towards the residents. Vanessa works diligently, she ensures the home is always to a very clean standard. Vanessa cooks wonderful and nutritious food. Vanessa spends time on every shift chatting to the residents.

Vanessa has created a strong bond with one resident who in the past has only related to men. This resident, who is non verbal is always so happy to see Vanessa when she arrives on shift. He responds extremely well to her caring approach. Vanessa is always eager to learn. Vanessa is a real team player who gets along with all her colleagues. I strongly believe Vanessa is the employee of the month."
