Care Worker of the Month – September 2024
We are delighted to announce that our Care Worker of the Month award winner for September is Tim Keegan – a support worker at Alzheimer's Support in Warminster.
Happy Friday to all and as January draws to a close, we are delighted to announce our first Care Worker of the Month Award winner for 2024! Our winner for January is Michaela Fielding – Senior Support Worker at Ash Lodge Residential Home in Hull. Michaela was nominated by Joanne Hutson – Registered Manager. Please find Jo’s story below:
“I would like to nominate Michaela Fielding who works at Ash Lodge Residential Home, Hull. Michaela has worked at Ash Lodge for 3 years now and has progressed to senior support worker.
Michaela's dedication and passion for her work is second to none. We are a mental health residential home and can sometimes find it challenging when trying to access support for a service user. Michaela is relentless and will not give up until the right support is sought.
Recently we have had a service user in crisis and Michaela worked a 12 hour shift then spent the night in a vacant room in Ash Lodge to support other staff with the service user and to be able to take phone calls ensuring the service user was getting the correct help.
Michaela is a credit to Ash Lodge and she has the determination and drive that every care worker should aim to work towards which will ensure all service users have the best care and support person centred to their needs.
Kind Regards
Jo”
Many Congratulations Michaela. You are an inspiration, and we thank you for your dedication and for making such a difference to the lives of others.
