Care Worker of the Month – December 2023

Happy New Year to everyone and we hope you had a wonderful Christmas. As we enter a new and exciting year at SCTV HQ, we are delighted to announce our final Care Worker of the Month Award winner for 2023. Our winner for December is Sally Gregory – Volunteer at Dogs for Health in Frome. Sally was nominated by James Lewis – Operations Manager. Please find James’s story below:

“Good morning

I would love to nominate one of our volunteer team for carer of the month.

Sally is in her late 60s. Lost her husband a while ago and now works as a volunteer with her Spaniel Tess. They visit five people per week who are chronic illness cases. Several are end of life. She is talkative and lively. Her visits boost their week and her genuine caring nature helps these patients who are struggling with social isolation.

She would be shy if she wins but is an amazing lady who provides an invaluable service.
