Care Worker of the Month – November 2023

It is the last Friday of the month which can mean only one thing here at SCTV HQ! It is time to announce our Care Worker of the Month Award winner. We are very pleased to announce that our winner for November is Oye Longe – Key Worker at Real Life Options Portlethen. Oye was nominated by Fiona Jones. Oye is Fiona’s key worker. Please find Fiona’s story below:

“My name is Fiona Jones from Real Life Options Portlethen and I would like to nominate my keyworker Oye Longe. The reasons I would like to nominate her are

• She has got great time keeping skills
• Willing to provide me extra support hours when I would like to attend something of my interest
• She is good at listening to me
• Good at helping me to understand things/ with new information
• She allows me to be independent
• She teaches me new skills
• She has a great sense of humour
• Lets me have plenty choice and control over what we do in our day
• Always takes my interest into account whilst helping me to plan my days/week
• We have a good working relationship and she has a good working relationship with my family
• Always well presented
• We have got similar interests

• Got a willingness and eagerness to work
• Helps me to interact and socialise with others

• Very reliable
• She is there for me when needed when she is supporting me
