Care Worker of the Month – October 2022

It is our favourite day of the month - time to announce our Care Worker of the Month award winner for October. We are delighted to announce that the winner is Helen Jamieson a Carer and Team Leader nominated by her colleague Sarah Cook.

Helen is a shining example of going above and beyond in her role and we are thrilled to recognise her incredible effort and dedication.

Please find Sarah’s story below:

‘I would like to nominate Helen Jamieson for carer of the month. She works at Elm court with three disabled adults in their own home. She isn’t just carer of the month in my opinion, but carer of the year. She is our team leader and goes above and beyond for everyone, not just the clients. She always helps out with covering shifts, she will do a night shift or come in at the drop of a hat if people are poorly and can’t work or they have an emergency at home.

She supports the clients in every way possible and throws herself into everything, she’s the oldest carer at our work at 62 but her energy and enthusiasm would make you think she is one of the youngest. In her home life she also has an autistic grandchild so her caring role never stops. I can’t emphasise how much she deserves to win.’

Thank you so much for all you do Helen!

If YOU know our next Care Worker of the Month, please do email us at info@socialcare.tv. And if you entered in October but did not win, please feel free to enter again as many times as you wish.

Have a wonderful weekend!
